Søren S. Skjærbæk

WHY THE NAME "URSUS LAW"?


"Ursus" means bear in Latin. My wife thinks I look like a bear. And I aim to provide bear strong advice.


Søren S. Skjærbæk graduated in law from Aarhus University in 1997. He was trained as a lawyer at Hjejle, Gersted & Mogensen Law Firm (now Bruun Hjejle) in Copenhagen, where he served a wide range of business clients.



Søren S. Skjærbæk was admitted to the Danish bar in 2000. In the same year, he achived the right of audience before the Danish High Court.



From 2001-2004, Søren S. Skjærbæk worked as in-house counsel at NeuroSearch A/S, a biotech company listed at the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.



In 2012, Søren S. Skjærbæk for a period served as a High Court judge with the Danish Western High Court.



From 2004 - 2018, Søren S. Skjærbæk was partner with Saxo lawyers in Vejle, Denmark. During this period, Søren S. Skjærbæk's activities increasingly focused towards the biotech and pharmaceutical industry, which formed the basis for the creation of Ursus law firm in 2018.



The vision of Ursus law firm is to continue and expand the work with biotech and pharmaceuticals businesses across Europe.
